Fences may not exceed 6' in the rear yard or in either side yard. Interior side-yard fences must be set back 5' from the front building line; a rear-yard fence on a through lot must sit at least 2' off the rear property line, while on other lots it may sit on the line.
Front-yard fences must be ornamental — picket, split rail, or wrought iron — with at least 50 percent open space between pickets and openings of at least 3" viewed perpendicularly. Chain link and solid wood fencing is prohibited in front yards, and slats of any material are not permitted in a chain link fence.
No barbed wire, razor wire, concertina wire, or electrical current. The supporting framework and unfinished side must not face adjacent properties or streets, and no fence may be erected adjacent to another fence.
